The IDA8 RU switching redundancy units provide the high level of redundancy and acting as a Primary/Secondary switching device for IDA8C controller and IDA8SAB slave unit.

The RU-MAIN is a device supplied with full-redundancy for processor, the RU-MAIN provides 2 x monitored PDC-ports for paging remote devices, 8 speaker A/B zones, 8 x monitored amplifiers, plus two back-up amplifiers.

The RU-MAIN is in charge of switching the primary IDA8C and the secondary IDA8C processor and is also capable to monitor the status of processor. If the primary processor breaks down, the RU-MAIN will automatically detect and all signal including from the peripherals will switch to the secondary processor.

RU-MAIN
Switching unit for digital audio processing with paging console interface. The IDA8 RU switching redundancy units provide the high level of redundancy and acting as a Primary/Secondary switching device for IDA8C controller and IDA8SAB slave unit.
