Objective

This example describes a PA/VA system, VACIE, that is used for voice evacuation with an automatic link with a fire panel system, FACIE.

The system above is split into 3 rack systems for each building. Each building has the facility for local and global paging. The general calls and service calls will be delegated from gatehouse. The overall connection between the buildings is based on a redundant fiber-optic core that carries up to 48 audio channels. The paging consoles are connected via a secured dedicated link to the central equipment racks.
A TCP/IP link from the main system to the gatehouse establish the communication link with the gatehouse paging desk. This paging desk can do all-calls and zone specific calls and it has a monitor loudspeaker in the unit. And the Ateis Studio software installed on PC is for maintenance use.
