    The IDA8 RU switching redundancy units provide the high level of redundancy and acting as a Primary/Secondary switching device for IDA8C controller and IDA8SAB slave unit. RU-PDC device is a device supplied with full-redundancy for audio processor.

    The RU-PDC provides 2 monitored PDC-ports for paging remote devices, 1 set of telephone line and 8 configurable audio I/O for the Primary IDA8C controller and the Secondary IDA8C controller.

    The RU-PDC is in charge of switching the primary IDA8C and the secondary IDA8C processor and is also capable to monitor the status of processor. If the primary processor breaks down, the RU-PDC will automatically detect and all signal including from the peripherals will switch to the secondary processor.
